Yup. Still waiting. It's going on 4 weeks now so I hope I'm not waiting for a defective copy.

I wouldn't get your hopes too high on that one....

Today, you can order Explosions in the Sky's "The Earth Is Not A Cold Dead Place" for $10 ($12.98 total with media mail shipping)...one day only! http://shop.temporaryresidence.com/trr61

This is some kind of 10th anniversary edition, and I've never given these guys a decent listen before...but I'm going for it!

I agree with everything said here. The show sounds amazing, hopefully we will get more 98 shows in the near future.

i got a second copy of lightning bolt from 10c. i ordered the vinyl and cd on the same order, and they sent me 2 lps, a week apart. when the shipping emails went out, the first one noted it was the lp, and a few days later the second email indicated it was the cd, but i was given no additional tracking. so when the cd took forever to arrive, i figured something was up- seems like the cds were received fairly quickly after shipping, unlike the lps that traveled all over the country.

when i can buy the cd at target for 10 bucks or whatever, should i even bother trying to exchange this? i'm thinking 'duh, no', but i've already requested a replacement for my first lp and i really don't need 3 copies of this thing. the cd from 10c is no different than in retail, correct?

i haven't opened the second vinyl, but there's a tear on the bottom of the front gatefold. at least the product is consistent.
ah, copperplate, a font for the truly modern man.

I got my replacement LB vinyl, and while it was clean and everything, no skips or pops...I still feel like Side A is a bad pressing. There's really no depth to any of the songs, and I feel like lots of the instruments get lost and are way in the background, which doesn't sound like the CD at all (like in Sirens, it sounds like McCready is playing in a different room, except for his solo). Side B sounds better. I don't think I'm going to bother asking for another and just chalk this up to ba production in general.
