Cabo Verde's 39 year old goalkeeper was an inspiration to watch.

It was fun to see Yamal go in and get a few passes, but otherwise I had my eyes glued on Cabo Verde giving it their whole heart on defense. Enjoyable match.

Cape Verde so impressive. usually when you play that much defense that far back you concede free kicks or a PK but they were very patient and did not lunge or get all grabby. spain their own worst enemy sometimes with too many passes and trying to make the perfect goal. really exciting match

Germany defense is awful and they played with nobody. I wanna see France but they have it easy in the first game. Well see, so far teams are still pretty even

Has a nation ever won a war and the World Cup in the same year, or could Iran become the first?

The closest thing I could find is Germany winning in 1990 less than a year after the wall came down.

Cheering for your squad today, VG.

You'll be happy to learn that one of my best bartenders is Argentinian and she's been wearing a different jersey every day this week.

Just the national team. It's been agreed that Argentina has the prettiest flag.

Nice!

I love the collection that Adidas released this year, not only our current jersey but all the other stuff.
