The league’s proposal’s regarding the draft are just about as radical as a salary cap. Wtf are they doing. I know it’s all about money, the MLBPA estimates the owners will save $1 billion in draft bonuses and salaries over five years, but this is going to be laughed out of the room.

I’m soaking in as much baseball as possible this season because you know next season is in increasing doubt.

This may belong more in this thread. It so irks me that Mookie Betts is second in all star voting for NL shortstop. He’s hitting barely over .200. The cult of the dodgers is everything that’s wrong with baseball right now. Jerry Seinfeld was right, they’re just rooting for the laundry.

Just saw a stat that said from 1980-2001, Rickey Henderson stole more bases than the Boston Red Sox did during that time. Somebody fact check please.

Same. He was probably one season away from 3,000 Ks too.

Maybe they pinch hit because they knew he was gassed and at that point you might as well get a better bat to the plate once. So technically not removed for another pitcher but still, removed when it was time for another pitcher. Unless that pinch hitter was in the bottom of the 9th.

I think he probably cares more about being at 9 home runs when he wanted 10. I wonder if the expansion of the DH kind of eroded his desire to stay in the league.

Greinke was awesome. Such a throwback. Dude was out there yelling at hitters he didn’t like and literally telling them what pitch he was gonna throw next.

I think the point is that the manager or pitching coach never once all season walked out to the mound and told him he’s coming out of the game.
