It's so sad. They're just giant murder labradors at the end of the day.

That thematically felt like the end of season 2. I fear they blew their load on the first 2 episodes and we will be spinning our wheels until the end of the season ends with another big battle

Yeah always concerning when there’s so much condensed dragon action. Feels like we’re in for 2-3 eps where they’re barely shown.Mecca wrote: Mon June 29, 2026 2:54 pm That thematically felt like the end of season 2. Very solid season premiere. Episodes like this, where the machinery of ruling takes focus in contrast with the Shakespearean tragedy of it all on the more epic scale, were the lifeblood of GOT when it was humming along.

Fun episode. It was like a GoT version of the "Charlie Work" episode of It's Always Sunny.
The fake Daeron thing is kind of dumb, but we'll see how it plays out.
The score was the MVP of the episode. I liked every time it went "BONG"

They're really building up Ormund's extreme smell sensitivity, and from what I gather, that wasn't in the book. I wonder how that is going to play out. Will it ultimately help lead to his downfall? I'm imagining something like Biff crashing into the back of a manure truck.

Yeah I immediately thought they should have the dragons shit on the house where he’s staying. That probably says a lot about me but whatever.

That's actually not a bad idea. How do you say "Shit, Caraxes!" in High Valyrian?

Rhaenyra Triumphant was an incredible episode. One of the best of the entire series.
