Had a ridiculously social week - Mario Golf Sunday night with a college friend, pickleball Monday morning with a work friend, catching up with an old friend from high school Tuesday night, and out to a concert with another college friend last night.

My wife and youngest son are visiting her folks, and my oldest son is camping with friends. My 4th of July will be just me and my husky, Scout. I could not be happier.

one of my coworkers is leaving their office to join a start up AI company as their AI engineer. This kid is brilliant (obviously) and has his head square on his shoulders. he shocked me with what he said though

Hey Jerry, I wanted to let you know directly before you hear from others that I have accepted an external opportunity and I will be leaving BCG at the end of next week. Thank you so much for everything you have helped me with over the years and I am going to miss chatting with you.

You specifically were a very big part of making my company experience amazing and I really appreciated you mentoring me when I was a new tech

I honestly would not be where I am today if not for you helping me get settled into

i dont say this lighly this kid has forgotten more than I know about IT and troubleshooting so for him to hit me with this from out of left field was a mind bender.

definitely lifted my spirits up a bit today

Two couples I know, who were best friends, have both had the wife pass over the last year. Both were in their 40's. Don't know the reason of this one yet, but she went in the hospital this morning and passed at some point this afternoon or early evening.
