Must be very picky about the government 'round your area

Was gifted ~12 lbs of coffee from Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf for my birthday, all of it whole bean... guess I'm in the market for a grinder.

my wife bought me a nice electric kettle for Father’s Day, and I’ve been making myself 2-3 pour overs every morning. so, so good.

These are standard issue here in Commonwealth land. They’re handy for quickly boiling water when cooking too.

crazy what a different way of making coffee can do to the caffeine and effect on a person. we had been using our ratio maker that simulates a pour over but is really closer to a drip maker here in Michigan. every time i drank a cup i felt jittery because i was used to our breville at home. we switched to the same breville which is an Americano (with a double shot espresso but same exact coffee bean) and the difference is crazy. i dont feel like i just threw in a lipper of kodiak.

just a snobby way of saying slowly and intermittently pouring hot water over grounds so it’s absorbed and filters through into a cup (or other vessel).

envious that you live in the third wave capital of the world. you also live in a land with super large creatures, so I guess it evens things out for me.

this. some places refer to it as a hand brew as well, mostly Europe.

biggest difference is you get to control the rate at which the water is poured over the grounds as opposed to a drip machine just constantly dropping water over a bed.
