Well, scratch that for now. We’ve noticed something wrong with Ginny cat and now we’re trying to figure out what to do. Vet offices close in 12 minutes and we’d have to go the animal ER route, but we don’t know if this would constitute an actual emergency.

Holt. Wish it had a wider deck, but overall it’s a good mower.

Had a good few weekends away. The weekend before last - went up north to see my mum and go through my dad's tools with my brother - was a bit emotional at times. Took my girls up to Auckland to go to the zoo and the one theme park our country has. They were asked afterwards what they did up there and their one response was to talk about a movie we watched on Netflix at the place we were staying.
Thursday went to a Come Together gig - which is where a bunch of NZ's top musicians get together to cover a famous album. They did OK Computer - and then a bunch of other Radiohead songs - it was pretty damn good. Then after that - drove up the coast for a weekend at the beach.
Got back yesterday - did a bunch of stuff around the house - started trying to tidy up the garage, and now I feel like I need a vacation

I think I managed to deduct enough to break even. We'll know for sure when I get audited.

beautiful weather today, low humidity, sunny, low 70s

took a bike ride up by the beach listening to Vs and Vitalogy

i haven’t attempted chinups in 9 months since i messed up my shoulder/ligaments last fall

the combination of A+ weather and pulse of Dave A’s drumming compelled me

they had just rebuilt a chinup bar on the sand and it beckoned to me

i went for it

managed 4 sets of 4-5

baby steps

i feel pretty great

at first my shoulder felt a little sore but then i stretched it and went back for more

will give it some rest and see how it goes

‘felt great to be back’

<goes to ER>

That's pretty damn solid considering the shoulder injury and 9 months off. Good shit.

didn’t realize until last year how potentially damaging sleeping on your side can be when you layer in getting old and injury

i still don’t sleep on my left (my usual go-to)

i dont want to get hurt again
