Re: Pearl Jam Porch
I try to read about news there sometimes, but it becomes very insufferable. I am part of the Ten Club for tickets, the occasional sale items, the single, and whatever else I bring myself to do with it, but I'm just not at a level where I feel particularly emotional about the fan club itself. Sure, it's not perfect, nor wholly functional at times, but I guess that's the deal when the operation is basically some dude. The incessant, and unnecessarily vitriolic, whining that goes on over this stuff really turns me off. I totally get not being an apologist for some of the strange goings on and all, but to get so fired up about it just plain agitates me. The other part of it that gets to me is the sheer internet age attention span problems. People expect band updates every few hours, and expect that as soon as a thought crosses the head of anyone remotely related to the band that the Ten Club should post some sort of official statement on it. It's just too much.
I recently started coming back here in the hopes of avoiding a lot of that. For the record while we are on this conversation, TC member since 1997 - 19 shows, most recent was MSG shows in 2010.
