Man, you ever fired an AR? Those things are way heavier than they look. I tried that and an HK MR556A4 (yes I had to look up the model number, I don't pretend I'd have that committed to memory) and they were both brutally uncomfortable.Norah wrote: Tue July 21, 2026 5:07 pm Yeah it shoots really well for a something so small. And .380 auto will do the job from close range if heaven forbid i needed to use it.
Pretty soon I'll have a full size M&P9 for home defense/range fun. And then hopefully the AR ban is lifted next year for the real "when shit hits the fan" scenario.

Yeah I've fired several ARs and yeah they can be heavy. Despite Mass having a ban in place, they're still obtainable. They're just super restricted and therefor a lot more expensive than they are in other states.tragabigzanda wrote: Tue July 21, 2026 5:48 pmMan, you ever fired an AR? There’s a scene in this that reminded me of the video Jorge used to always post during RM chat days from society ending

Re: Universal's Christopher Nolan's Penguin's Homer's TheOdyssey
Good movie. I liked Samantha Morton’s part the best. Everything at sea was sweet. The giants were cool. Cyclops was fun. Matt Damon and his modern, everyman voice was particularly funny in that cave scene.
The way he shot his bow was weird (but damn, could he string it!)
I thought he had a really good thing going doing drugs with Charlize Theron on that beach. Fresh fish. Good chats. I’m assuming their characters bang in the book?
