Its very interesting but not surprising at all that everyone in Spain talked about the referee but then Spain has 21 faults ( argentina had 24) and not even a yellow card while arg had 5 and a red one, while cucurella should also have been expelled because he covered his mouth ( they dont even went to the VAR to see it) and thats why there was a brawl at the end, because one of the spain players yelled about the var and the referee with one of the arg players.

gladly, he got punched in the face twice.

Gotta say Spain played the Fifa card pretty well, seems Infantino needed a UEFA champion to get their support with the upcoming election.

theories, theories about our gorgeous beautiful fifa and the always pristine white and magnanimous UEFA

It was pretty obvious he was just pointing to his mouth to indicate the injury. There was no "covering" of the mouth, and sorry but the Argentinian players knew that. They were grasping for anything to give them an edge.

All of these teams exaggerate contact and endlessly complain to the refs. It's embedded in the sport. Let's move along.

Not true. There are vast differences between teams and leagues, and also teams in the World Cup.

I would be very embarassed if Norway or Crystal Palace acted like that.

That’s the other big one. I was talking to an Indian friend and he said every Indian kid wants to be a cricket player, not a soccer player. Similar challenge soccer has in America.
