I am going to look back but the primary backstop 'they' have been using is emergency, it is a given hole and can clearly be used for a time. The elections are clearly states' rights and I do not believe the Constitution or any rulings by the court give any proclivity to the Executive in the matter.wease wrote: Fri July 17, 2026 6:23 pmI hope you’re right, but I’m afraid you won’t be. Fairly certain the conference along with the document dump and Clayton's testimony is simply there to muddy the waters, which is old hat for this regime but absolutely infuriating... willfully ignorant can really be the only possible reasoning to not see through the bullshit and connect a few goddamn dots. That said, this administration has not been told 'no' near enough, obviously, and this election pressure is where it may finally boil over.
I need to skip some chapters in Project 2025 but I'll check in later.
Also, this administration is not made up of very bright people. Ideas clearly in place but implementation and so forth has brought out less than optimal outcomes in their efforts. Sowing doubt in the election process when many can see clear through the ruse may be the dumbest thing possible. I'll add, in their delusions of grandeur I feel they have an idea that 'they' are an army. January 6th was an exposure of how they are not, a $1.776 billion slush-fund for a bunch of heathens will not embolden and enable them to take over this country in the face of 340 million.

The "back-up Trump" guy at 3:20 looks so much like Trump in mannerisms that it actually has me thinking that he's using body doubles now.
Everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine. We're all fine here, now, thank you. How are you?

The Economist wrote:Mr Trump said he might withdraw Todd Blanche’s nomination as attorney-general until two Republican senators who oppose it leave the Senate when their terms end in January. The impasse concerns a proposed $1.8bn fund to pay people whom the president says have been wrongfully investigated by the government. The two senators, John Cornyn and Thom Tillis, want written assurances that it has been scrapped.

He cares not a whit about that. He cares about the provision in there that exempts his family from being audited forever and ever.

It's just so goddamn outlandish, I'd actually prefer any mention of it to be the specific amount they penned of $1.776 billion.

Re: Re: The 47th POTUS - Donald J. Trump
The Economist wrote:Donald Trump’s posts on Truth Social, his social-media platform, frequently move financial markets. Now the platform is trying to cash in. Last week Trump Media & Technology Group, the site’s parent in which Mr Trump has a stake of roughly 41%, launched “Truth API”, a paid service giving traders and investors faster access to the “most influential accounts”. The company has reportedly suggested charging customers up to $100,000 a month. Critics allege insider trading; the White House has denied a conflict of interest. Trump Media says the product offers “a new long-term recurring revenue stream”.
The company, which reports second-quarter earnings on Monday, needs it. Its share price has fallen around 40% in the past year; in the first quarter it posted revenues shy of $900,000 and net losses of almost $406m. With ventures in cryptocurrency and streaming seemingly yet to pay off, Kevin McGurn, Trump Media’s interim boss, is placing his bets on the value of the president’s penmanship—assuming regulators don’t clamp down first.
