I always thought it would end in the room with the kids and old Ted leans back in his chair and says "and that's how I met your mother." Then the old mom comes in and says "That's not how it happened, honey. Kids, listen. This is the story of how I met your father." boom spinoff.

I hesitate to use the word terrible. But it's definitely running on fumes. My hope is that they know how they want to wrap it up and their just spinning their wheels until the second half of the season. As I recall, there was early talk about making this a 13 episode season. Of course, CBS didn't want any part of that. So here we are. If that's true, hopefully the wind down will be on par with the best of the series.

Finally caught up with this show...

I'll keep watching just to see how it ends, but it's unfunny and stretching the limits of the audience's patience. The upside is that Cobie Smulders has gotten better looking with age and post-kids, so there's eye-candy.

I'm a little behind on this show, but Barney's bachelor party at the end of last season is probably the worst episode I've seen so far. It's a good example of a show crawling up it's own ass.

This season is awful. Setting most of the season at the hotel and having it take place over a single weekend is even worse than I thought when I head the idea at the end of the last season. And I don't buy the whole Robin/Barney relationship, they have zero chemistry. The Marshall storyline is ridiculous, too.

I'm enjoying this season. Some of it has sucked, but not all of it.

This season bites. Definitely one season too far. Maybe two seasons.

I don't know if I'm gonna finish it out.
Everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine. We're all fine here, now, thank you. How are you?

Last night's was the best of the season so far. I LOL'd several times at the "can't use the letter E" challenge.

And the mother looks like she put on a little weight there, a major improvement. (still resembles a furby)

That was the best episode of the season. I'd say she looks more like Gizmo. But, yeah, she looked much better in this episode. Really cute actually.
