This week, two more movies from that thing I'm doing. I finished off all the Pasolini on the list by watching the comedy The Hawks and the Sparrows, which didn't do much at all for me. I see how it connects his filmography to the later comedies, for sure.
I also watched Haneke's Code Unknown, which was pretty great actually. Juliette Binoche is a long time favorite of mine, and this one was never boring even if it seems like it should have been

Basically. I'm still going to the cinema once a week or so. And I have been mixing in some re-watches, like High Fidelity last week and Big Lebowski a few weeks ago. I also watched Beef Season 2 when I was on vacation in June. But mostly from the list, yeah

Watched 3 movies today:

1 Disclosure Day. This was a solid B. The female news anchor at the end was incredible, though. That’s exactly how a human being would deliver that news while taking it in with the audience. Her tears moved me to tears. The concept of how we would really change when presented with that scenario stuck with me.

2 Obsession. A+. Great psychological thriller. The lead actress deserves awards. The best part, though, was how the characters interacted. It felt like Clerks.

3 Backrooms. C+. The concept is intriguing, but the pacing was agonizing. I couldn’t wait for it to be over.
