I was planning on submitting a resume for another job within my (massive) organization. Totally different umbrella, totally different job, a better fit for me overall. And as we know, I don't like my work.

But today my boss gave me a new assignment. It's not like a plum gig or anything, seems fairly intimidating actually. And would only be about 20% of my time. But, it's good for my resume and I got it because my friend pushed the boss to give it to me.

Am I making everyone look bad if I still apply for this other job? Am I betraying everyone? Am I just overthinking this

My one coworker is in this horrible open office space with me. She has an alarm that goes off on her phone at 1:30 every day. She also seems to go to the bathroom and leave her phone at her desk every day at like 1:28. I'm the only person in here at that time because of lunch schedules. She's doing this on purpose, right?

Oh shit, also it turns out somebody else in the office wanted this assignment and asked for it like two years ago. So she hates me now, great. But that would have been impossible because it requires close collaboration with someone they hate even more than they hate me. I hate this place
