Yeah I dunno if I ever posted my theory in this thread, but I think it’s totally plausible that she hit him by accident while in a rage. I think the first jury might’ve been onto this based on the questions they sent the judge, but it wasn’t really something they could convict her of based on the charges. Or she meant to scare him but actually hit him and didn’t realize it. I could believe those, and I think they fit the facts, but there’s no way the dog murdered him or whatever the hell people thought.

So I don’t know how much you know about the case, but basically a mom asked her husband to go grab some takeout, and while he was out she murdered their three kids and tried to kill herself. He came home to all of that horror. She’s been charged with murder, the defense is claiming she had postpartum psychosis and she had no idea what she was doing. Just the worst story you can imagine.

The worst of the worst armchair detectives have decided that he killed them, not her, even though she has never claimed she didn’t. There is video footage of him at CVS and a restaurant, and people have looked at the footage and claim he’s somehow had it doctored, because they think he’s wearing different shoes in each one. They have reviewed his times from running the Boston Marathon and claim he could’ve run back to the house and killed the kids between the two stops on his trip out, based on his average mile pace. And they’ve reviewed the 911 transcripts, and at the moment when he finds his children dead, he yells into the phone, “She killed the fucking kids!” These people claim that the placement of the word “fucking” indicates that he doesn’t care about his kids, that he’s some sort of sociopath, that he should’ve said “She fucking killed the kids!” if he was a real grieving father. Like I said, deranged.

The Clancy conspiracy theorists are the absolute worst people. This case never should have gone to trial, and the people judging the dad will have a special place in hell reserved for them.

It’s hard to tell real theories from parody at this point. Saw someone comment that he had a mistress that looked like his wife, and she’s the one that killed the kids, and in her mental state, mom thought she was having an out-of-body experience so she believes she did it herself. Like, surely, that’s someone joking around. But there’s a small part of me that thinks they really believe it.
