Secondly, yu personally not knowing much about him says more about your media consumption and tolerance for celebrity exposure than it does about the actors themselves. I'd say Pattison is at least as outspoken as Zendaya is, and probably even more so in a number of ways. not only that, the guy is quite literally a long-running luxury-brand ambassador (he's been the face of Dior Homme since 2013).

It's silly to look at extremely successful young Hollywood millionaires and pretend like one is more genuine than the other, it all ultimately collapses into a conversation about who you personally like better. They're all "brands" to some extent. That wasn't the question

I had no idea he was the face of Dior Homme. So fair game on media consumption I guess? I don't know where that stuff gets advertised. Probably GQ and Vogue and stuff like that? Glad I don't read that stuff.

I don't think it's silly at all, and "to some extent" is doing a lot of work here. It's a spectrum, now? Josh Brolin talking about his sobriety on a podcast isn't the same thing as Pattinson selling Dior Homme. While they both drive likability and marketability, they probably do it at completely different scales, and along different horizons of fandom.

Zendaya and Black are in a similar class: need a quirky fat guy? Call Black. Need a diverse girlfriend? Call Zendaya. I'm probably not as bad as Trag about being turned off by the "actor's" extracurricular activities, but they cross the line with me. And they are nowhere near good enough to disappear in the role.

Reynolds and Johnson are on a whole nother level. They basically view acting as a means to be big time businessmen. Plus they advertise their own products in their shitty movies. Unforgivable.
