i'm def in the camp of 'preseason is too long' at this point
everyone just gets injured. the games are meaningless
i would rather two preseason games and 18 regular season. and teams just get used to using joint practices in preseason for starters (to reduce injury) and the preseason games for RBs and bubble players to prove themselves
and accepting that the first regular season game or two is gonna be funky (already are anyway)
but at least if someone gets injured it was for an actual attempt at a 'W'
preseason just seems like so much risk to play for like no return
