Good, I’m glad she’s dead. She can no longer hurt innocent people!

Is her greatest legacy her music, her philanthropy, or breast augmentation?

She once asked me to fuck her bass player. I was horrified.

I remember in 5th grade we used to make jokes about her rack. We didn’t even know if we liked jugs yet. When Stand By Me came out and they talked around the campfire about Annette Funicello’s boobs, I felt like someone had spied on our lunch table.

Her songs that I knew were hits even before that, but 9 to 5 and Islands in the Stream were ubiquitous for the rest of the decade and were part of my formative years. Then came Steel Magnolias. I saw it once and still remember several one-liners from it all these years later.

Last time I saw her was at the Super Bowl halftime show a couple years ago. She was in the Cowboys cheerleader outfit and I thought she was adorable.

My friend who texted me this news today said icon. Joey said icon in this thread. That’s exactly right. She was a true treasure. I’m shocked she was only 80, though. I would have guessed 88 at least.
