Just watched the first 2 episodes of Rise of the 49ers. I’m biased since I grew up loving this team but it’s really good and it covers things I never knew about.
Bill Walsh and Dwight Clark gone too soon.

A friend of mine works as a tour guide now and it reminded me of this documentary that I saw over 20 years ago and loved. I really should rewatch it:

Rewatched this and - after not seeing it in over 20 years - I actually found the guy to be pretty annoying.

Looks like the Netflix documentary on Norm Macdonald is coming in October. Directed by Judd. He did a good job on the Garry Shandling doc.

Same dude! I was way into this guy back in the day, via Linklater. Tried watching it a couple years ago and couldn't get past 15 minutes.

I didn't even remember he was in Waking Life before I googled him after watching the doc. That's another film I loved 20 years ago, but I have a feeling it too might disappoint if I'd watch it again now. I still have the bootleg dvd with German cover on my shelf.

Waking Life still holds up! Might even be better, since it's so obviously animated without AI, and deals with deep stuff that is somehow not dated. I used to have the soundtrack on CD, which was excellent. Not sure I could even stream it now?

Watched this today and it was one of the best documentaries I've seen in a long long time.

Watched this for the 3rd time and it's truly awesome. Top 3 all time documentary for me, might be even number one.
