Low key weekend after traveling the last 3 in a row. Very happy about it. Went out to dinner with my cousin's family last night and had a top 5 worst pizza I've ever had. Grilling steaks tonight so hopefully I don't fuck them up and will make up for the pizza

Spent a couple hours finishing riveting together the new dog kennel yesterday. It was a bit rainy and quite windy - which makes working with large pieces of sheet metal interesting - but I didn’t want to be lefty doing it on Father’s Day today.

Anyway, if it’s like the last kennel, the dogs won’t actually use it for about six months.

Anyway, if it’s like the last kennel, the dogs won’t actually use it for about six months.

Dude I hate riveting

This was my initiation. It definitely takes some skill and finesse. The actual riveting part was okay, once I started using the correct nozzle size. Before that, getting the old pins out was a hassle that slowed the process.

But then the hole drilling, through 2-3 different pieces of metal at times, was fairly annoying, but I got the hang of that too.

I had to tap in my wife as a second set of hands when it was time to put everything together into a three dimensional structure - and of course she had opinions - but we got it done without too much bickering. I had a headache all day from my head cold, so that probably weakened me enough to not put up too much fight, which kept the peace.
