At a certain point, I started finding the connections without registering guesses in the game. So I have all four groups in my head (or written down) and then I try to guess which of them groups is purple -- usually it's the one that doesn't make sense to me or that has a shared implied word before or after the clue word. Then I type in as my first guess.
