oh i wanna see those neon pics.
Bad news: they didn't turn out great. Tried saving them in edits and got some good color, but overall I think I learned that my lens is hazy. I've since purchased a new, cleaner lens.
These scans also taught me the importance of paying attention to hard streetlight. I might have given this film too much light...
Second shot was an attempt at motion blur. I set the shutter for 1 second and moved it with the bus.
Enjoy(?)

dude they look great wtf are you saying. Love the color, and i love the framing and overall feeling they got.
I don't think they look bad, but they weren't what I was going for.
I was hoping for deep shadows and less bloom on the lights, but that's what these test rolls are for. Franck Bohbat was kind of an inspiration for what I was trying to do. https://share.google/PMCSyYx1APQTRP4tA
Thanks for the feedback on the framing. That's something I can control no matter what exposure/lens hurdles I might be facing. These shots were using ledges and flat surfaces I had available. No tripod. I think the angles turned out pretty okay!

I do like your inspiration, and i understand what you were aiming to, but damn if these doesnt look good. There is a Crewdson quality to them i truly love and overall whats impressive is the vibe they have, the framing is superb.
My most recent roll has some keepers. This was from a walk around my neighborhood in east Houston, and the skies were great that day. First time shooting in bright daytime light. My washed out sky problem seems to be improving and my instinct for correct exposure is getting stronger.
I also used a new lab for this one, and I think I prefer their scans to the lab I've been using. They were able to get some shadow and color I haven't seen from scans yet, but that could also be the time of day.

Last shot energy. This structure is on the same block as my film lab. I wonder how many times they've scanned a variation of this frame from amateur photographers killing a roll before drop-off.
