I think they just suck at talking about stuff, all of em are super laid back. Dave Grohl is excited all the time, it'd be weird if he did just say 'yeah...im working on a few songs, probably work on a few more later', not these guys

It's hard for me to picture a time the guys in pearl jam (outside of performing) seemed excited about anything.

I'm always encouraged when I look back at old interviews (like on SVT) and think yeah, maybe they were always like that.

MacParadigm coming through. Sirens seems to have the makings of a very slow steady burn. When I look at youtube views, it's been consistently getting like 70K views everyday. It doesn't go down, or up much, just continues to grab one listener at a time. So, it seems like it is genuinely being appreciated and loved by those that hear it. It's not that sort of infectious Miley Cyrus style internet sensation, and I'd think that's probably perfectly fine with the band. But it does appear to have that sort of traction that a Just Breathe had that I am Mine or NAIS didn't back in the day, when it just plummeted after the album release.

It's a whole other deal these days for songs to catch on, no matter how good they are, they need to synch them up to TV stuff to make sure they reach everyone in a fragmented market. I think a steady slow burn performance could keep it on the lower rungs of the charts for a long time....... which is as much you can ask for from a rock band. I'm also really pulling for Arctic Monkeys to get the audience they deserve in America. I feel like they're going to get somewhere doing that......

I can't imagine how many copies of that album Adele would have sold if it came out when people used to actually buy albums. How the hell does someone sell 28 million records today? Amazing. He did a bunch of lines, ran around the room at full speed punching the air during Getaway, jumped on the couch and started tearing up the cushions and yelling "STOKE! PURE FUCKING STOKE!" during Mind Your Manners, and by the time he got to My Father's Son he was totally naked and throwing every single glass jar he could find in his kitchen against the wall and just screaming "I COME FROM A GENIE, YES!" over and over again until Sirens came on. By the time he got to the part about the fear going away he was laying in a pile of glass and punching himself in the nuts over and over again. The worst part is I don't even know if that meant he loved or hated the song.

I think he loved it, personally, but not without some serious willingness to wrestle his personal demons and admit to "Every choice, mistake he made" throughout his life. He probably called for an ambulance during the "Oh", "Ah!" part.
