It would probably endear me towards BoB if I found out that he'd said "Ed,you know that non-word vocalisation from U? I think we should copy and paste it over to Let the Records Play. Can you dig it?"McParadigm wrote:It's almost like it's copy-pasted over, it's so perfect.guitar_davey wrote:LuNY wrote:DOWNBIIILLLLAAA!!!!!

Very much the same on both songs. My fav non-word.
Jesus, I'd have never picked up on that in a million years, but those are the same exact yelp!
What in god's name inspires a grown man to squawk out something like that?

Re: Favorite non-word vocalization from Ed
I must be thinking of ltrp, but I swear its in another song too. Because I have a distinct memory of noticing they used the same sound in another song aaaaages ago...and I haven't listened to ltrp all that much. Maybe I'm thinking of something else.harmless wrote:It would probably endear me towards BoB if I found out that he'd said "Ed,you know that non-word vocalisation from U? Has anyone ever deciphered what the hell they sing during In My Tree? I did a really really bad job trying to type it out a few pages back.

(Eddie's down in his home)
(Oh, the blue sky it's his home)
(Eddie's blue sky home)
(Oh, the blue sky it's his home)
Technically, the lyrics. But, I'd love a clear live version to really hear if Ed even says them.

Re: Favorite non-word vocalization from Ed
Ed's vocal is reversed. It's a variation of the 'knowledge is a tree / growing up just like me' bit. The gravelled "eeee" in the second half is a part of the word "tree." The echo bounce and reverb were added after reversing it, so it's pretty hard to hear clearly.darth_vedder wrote:Has anyone ever deciphered what the hell they sing during In My Tree?
