Illustrators of RM, recommend me a graphics tablet

Post by Jorge »

I used to draw a lot. Want to get back in the habit. Thought I'd get a drawing tablet to make it easier to post up content without having to scan stuff.

Looking for something relatively cheap, medium-sized (6x8ish?) that will also not be horrifically outdated in the next two years. Any suggestions?

Serious question; what would outdate a graphics tablet? An evolution in the software for uploading drawings from it?

i think these are pretty good. Its Wacom's low end model. i used an old one before after my Intuos died and it was plenty. small area though.

I own an Intuos 4 and a Cintiq. Intuos would be the industry standard, unless you want to shell out the big bucks for a Cintiq.

never used any other brand.

nothing really. the newer ones have different button configurations and maybe a few new features, but the drawing tech doesnt change much.

How embarrassing. I thought that Jorge was referring to a paper bound tablet in his OP.
