Yep, dude needs to get the shit kicked out of him
So many people have been saying this, and in particular it should have been Martin that kicked the shit out of him. As satisfying as it would be, it really doesn't solve the underlying problem--which is that Incognito (and perhaps others?) needs to obtain some fucking human decency.
the problem is say he does kick his ass and does serious damage. the dolphins cut him for injuring a teammate...he cant be picked up by another team for fear he will do that to one of their players.
as much as people want to bitch about him being a wuss, this was the only way to do it where he didnt come out looking like a asshole to the public

You are excusing acceptable on field behaviour for acceptable off field behaviour. Not a single complaint has been about anything on the field. As for Marino, the world has changed since he played and won nothing.
Being a football player shouldn't be about handling douchebags, dicks and assholes on your own team, there's enough of those on the other team on game day.
Heard a talkshow today and the guest was saying this will have a bigger impact on the culture of NFL football than bounty gate, and as such you can expect the punishments handed out by the league to be stiffer. I whole heartedly agree with this assessment.
Think I’m going to try being kind to everyone a chance.

if incognito is such an asshole/dick/etc why do all of his teammates love him?? its not even close, every single one has his back.. yea hes a douchebag.. but we all have that friend but yet theyre a good time n we love em
why does no one have a good thing to say about martin??
i agree with the bigger than spygate thing.. and because of it, i highly doubt anyone will want to deal with this asshole (martin) again

I have no real opinion on this whole Fins debacle.
However, I do have an opinion on Incognito. Dude was on many a 'do not draft' lists by multiple teams because of character issues. He was a piece of shite while with the Rams (there's a brief story on msn or yahoo with a former teammate talking about him), he was the same while with the Bills, believe that's why they let him walk.
It baffles me that people are backing this guy, be it players or fans.

Tough to speak out in favour of Martin when the management and coaches who put Incognito in a leadership role and approved of Incognito's behaviour are still in place. When the GM thinks punching someone in the face is how you handle problems and your paycheque depends on that GM not cutting you, do you really think any player is going to speak out?
It would be pretty obvious to any player on the Dolphins that speaking out at this point could have very serious career implications. It will be a whole different story once the league investigation gets under way and the players can speak confidentially.

the one article i posted was written by a dude whos not even on the team anymore.. he has nothin to lose if he was to talk shit
to me incognito is like that douchebag friend we all have.. reminds me of my one buddy who can get on my nerves for being a dbag.. but in the same sense hes a pretty fun guy and we have a lot of good times.. martin reminds me of a boring dude that no one really associated with.. i can relate to these people in real life and i kinda see why they side with ri
that being said, yea martin just opened pandoras box.. if they investigate the fins they better investigate everyone.. he'll never play again bec of this.. whos gonna want the tattletale with the harvard lawyer daddy around??

just because a bunch of people side with one guy over another doesn't make that guy right

If he's got the talent, someone will give him another chance. If they weren't already fine at tackle SF and IND would be good matches--maybe they could move him to guard.

Channing Crowder, who is an idiot and somebody who hates Jeff Ireland, so take this for what it's worth gave what I thought was an interesting perspective on the controversy regarding Ireland telling Martin (or his agent) that he should stand up for himself. His argument was pretty much the following:
People are acting as if when he hears about it Ireland's reaction is just to say shrug and say "punch him in the face." So everybody gets mad because how could a boss ever say something like that? What if the conversation was actually more like this: "Martin feels like he's getting picked on by some of the guys and he's had enough." "I'm really sorry to hear that's how he feels, what's the problem?" ....explains the problem. Ireland: "Well, I could go down there and we could call a meeting and tell the guys they've gone too far and have to leave Martin alone. And the guys might leave him alone because we told them to, but honestly, from my experience in the NFL I think it'll really just alienate him from the guys even more. They'll all know that he complained to us and they won't trust him anymore. The best thing for him to do might be just to stand up to Incognito (or whoever) the next time this happens. It only takes one time for that to happen and when guys realize they've gone too far, they'll back off. And at that point once there's been an altercation we can even step in and tell everybody that whatever led to that is done and to knock it off."
"I want to see the whole picture--as nearly as I can. I don't want to put on the blinders of 'good and bad,' and limit my vision."-- In Dubious Battle
Also, you gotta love how evidence of a team cheating to win Super Bowls has to be destroyed, but every word of this alleged "bullying scandal" has to be public. What a joke.

Part of me thinks that Martin wants to (or has been talked into) making this battle less about his own personal experience, and more about being a pioneer that executes a massive change of culture in all NFL locker rooms. That's the best explanation I can think of why he's taken this to DEFCON Lawyer. I don't necessarily disagree with such a move, but he's likely not going to make many friends amongst his peers.
