Wrong is not the right word for me, as I probably rate the song higher than most Pearl Jam fans. I've just seen others rate it really low, and in trying to find out why, I've understood that it is often the lyrics that make it so. Clearly the music, the performance and the production are top notch. I find the lyrics interesting, but not as straight or easily understood as the lyrics to Black for instance, which is one that everyone can easily relate to.

"Exciting" isn't a noun, and yet.

"Resignate" should be a word.

I am behind. Now I will catch up -

#1's
Go (Vs., 1993)
Last Exit (Vitalogy, 1994)
Brain Of J. (Yield, 1998)
Sometimes (No Code, 1996)
Once (Ten, 1991)
Cant Keep (Riot Act, 2003)
Breakerfall (Binaural, 2000)
Getaway (Lightning Bolt, 2013)
Life Wasted (Pearl Jam, 2006)
Gonna See My Friend (Backspacer, 2009)

LW and GSMF are the only two clunkers. The rest of these are all top notch PJ songs.

Vs.
Go (Vs., 1993)
Rearviewmirror (Vs., 1993)
Indifference (Vs., 1993)
Animal (Vs., 1993)
Blood (Vs., 1993)
Leash (Vs., 1993)
W.M.A (Vs., 1993)
Daughter (Vs., 1993)
Elderly Woman Behind The Counter In A Small Town (Vs., 1993)
Dissident (Vs., 1993)
Rats (Vs., 1993)
Glorified G (Vs., 1993)

Also, I don't get why people think Leash is a bottom tier Vs. song. It may be simple and outdated, but it certainly has passion and gravitas. WE got ourselves Tonight!
The last three on my list are all kind of interchangeable, while the 1st three are all top tier PJ songs. Animal through Small Town are good, not great, in my opinion. While my full catalog rankings had TEN songs surprisingly highly ranked, I think I would much rather reach for this album than TEN. 1st choice would be Vitalogy, but Vs, No Code, and Yield all are not that far behind.

#2's
Hail Hail (No Code, 1996)
Faithfull (Yield, 1998)
Spin The Black Circle (Vitalogy, 1994)
Animal (Vs., 1993)
Even Flow (Ten, 1991)
.
.
Save You (Riot Act, 2003)
Got Some (Backspacer, 2009)
Mind Your Manners (Lightning Bolt, 2013)
World Wide Suicide (Pearl Jam, 2006)
Gods Dice (Binaural, 2000)

The gap between the 1st five album #2's and the last five album #2's is very large. Pretty strong bunch of #2's there through Yield.

I die a tiny little bit inside every time I see World Wide Suicide below God's Dice.
I am not participating in your slow loss of life - I have World Wide Suicide above God's Dice. #9 and #10. They both pretty well suck, at least in comparison to the rest of the 2nd tracks.

That's the obvious conclusion from seeing Faithfull below Got Some, MYM, and WWS.
