I avoid paying for CD-Rs.

I used to buy all the CDs - I bought all the 2000's and 2003's. Bummed when MP3 was the only option for 2005, and bought the CDs in 2008. But now, as long as there's no DRM and I can get FLAC, I'll take the digital files. Especially with the 24/96 FLACs. I know the HD FLACs haven't really been "HD" for the last couple tours, but if the 2013 shows are actually recorded/mixed/mastered at 24/96 like they say then I'm happy to support that.

So, when are they playing the PIttsburgh show today on PJ radio? Anyone know?

And that's good news on Eliason mixing these

Anyone planning on ripping the show from PJ radio today? (And every Friday for that matter?)

So, who's volunteering to be our official "ripper" of these broadcasts? Anyone?

I'll certainly still enjoy the official FLACs, but it would be nice to have a copy of these between Fridays and Wednesdays, and in case Id on't want to buy all of them... :)

I was all set to until I realised that it was only on SiriusXM Satellite radio, and not on TenClub internet radio :|

I know we're almost at the release date of the boot now, but would be cool if someone captured it for a bit of a preview before Wednesday...

Wow, this Pittsburgh boot sounds INCREDIBLE. I would argue it's the best sounding live release they've ever done as a part of a series (i.e. Atlanta/Orpheum/Give Way/LO2L/LO10L etc. don't count). I would say that if Give Way is a 10.0, this is a 9.75. But man, Ed is REALLY struggling on the old stuff...

A higher quality version of that show, better than the one that was circulated labeled as Give Way, surfaced a couple years ago. It's the source that was used in the Soundboard Remaster Series.

:offtopic: I know...

But...

Looks like the soundboard remasters series is the Give Way promo CD + missing songs and patches from the FM radio source, correct? I love that soundboard series and have it, just wondering if the promo CD tracks are straight rips from that CD, or if it could something else

Nope - the SRS version is from the Sony Promo of the whole show, in quality as good if not better than Give Way :nice:

I think you're confusing this with something I did years ago, when I thought I had the Sony source via the SV series version (turns out it was actually a post-FM recording).

You can really tell it sounds that good from a radio rip?

Cool. Thanks.

So unless I'm some nutso collector (which I'm not),I don't need to try and hunt down the Give Way CD rip? The SRS version is close enough, the same, or better? I do remember it sounding quite good, it was one of the first of the series that I listened to since it had Jack on the Yield tunes. Faithfull , GTF, DTE, etc... are all unique here because of that

I don't know that I got the same initial reaction on the quality of the mix, it certainly is good. I haven't really given it a proper listen yet, only went through and cut the tracks. I did think the Lightning Bolt tunes sounded superb, though.

It will be later in the night EST before I get these up.
