Does anyone have a collection of studio outtakes or rarities?

There's a torrent widely accessible called Elliott Smith - Discography that has 8 discs of studio outtakes tacked on at the end. Search on torrentz.eu and you should find it, no prob.

meantime, this kicks ass.

Agree. This album is solid from start to finish.

That's a good one. He played a bunch of record store gigs in PHX during the mid-90s. I was at this one, which is the same record store in the video you posted above.

Love that cover of Thirteen. Really dig Big Star.

Fun story....

The first and only time I ever used a fake ID was when I saw Elliott Smith in Lawrence, Kansas at a place that is 21 and over. My buddy (who was 18 like me at the time) was going with his brother who was 22 and he scored us some fake IDs. I was nervous as well. I worried I'd get arrested or something. Naive kid I guess. Anyway, I got in and the show was incredible. He closed with a cover of Harvest Moon by Neil Young. SO great.

I like the soundtrack quite a lot. There's nothing really revelatory, but it's a good listen.

XO through to Basement.

New Moon is a collection rather than an album.
