Im sure its been discussed but whats this extra verse in the booklet?
WEll the last he looked
he had a felons hook
now he's afraid tot urn the page
And yea, the devils songs
he plays em all night long
until the angels come to sing....
I like that last one.

The vinyl booklet, I'm assuming, as I don't have it.Strat wrote:Im sure its been discussed but whats this extra verse in the booklet?

In answer to your question, though, that verse would've made the song more interesting had it been included. Way to go PJ!

Well it's cool they put the extra verse in the booklet. reminds me of all the extra poems and shit in the vitalogy booklet.
But they totes should have axed every chorus except one (or all of them
) and added the extra verses into the song. They make the song more interesting. welp.

Yup. I'd rather they'd just had no chorus and all verses / bridge. Keep it bare-bones and simple. All that waking, shaking and baking stuff is nonsense.stupidmop wrote:Well it's cool they put the extra verse in the booklet. reminds me of all the extra poems and shit in the vitalogy booklet.

And when he said 'Right on,
The devil's been and gone!'
Ed and Brendan drank all day.
'So guys, is that a rap?'
Asked Jeff, 'Cos it sounds crap.'
But they just let the records play!

And yet somehow, the lyric that seems to best define the band's relationship with Brendan O'Brien is one that requires no editing whatsoever.
