Do you put your own stamp on all of your pieces, dime? Like some kind of logo/mark on the back that denotes that it was made by you? I think on of those 'burnt in' style stamps would look great with the type of pieces you do.

You mean branding. Where a white hot iron shaped into a logo is burned into the wood.
No I don't do that. Thought about it. But the work should speak for itself.

Yeah, that's what I meant. Your work absolutely does speak for itself, and I'm sure you'd get a lot of 'word of mouth' referrals from people that have your pieces.

I only thought this may help, since your work is going into restaurants where many people will see them, but those people won't know who made them. There's been a couple of occasions where I've seen something like that in public, and wondered where I could get the same thing from. Most of the time the service staff have no idea, and think I'm weird for asking.

No probs, man. I'm just thinking ahead to when Dimejinky Crafts goes global, and I can look out for your work in Australia. :nice: :D

Funny you mention it. My pal works in international shipping and just last night told me to stop telling people I can't ship overseas. He can help me with it.
Anything I make, the shipping would cost more than the item I'd reckon.
But we'll see:)

I'm busy making Mark a jumper! He's wanted a Sigur Ros style Lopi sweater for ages and I'm about a third of the way through it at last.

Hand knit socks are the best though <3

So this restaurant.
I had to go to a lumber yard today. Order a bunch of wood. An hour or so later it arrives and I'm just about to start working on the counter when they txt me to say they've changed their minds for the third time and want me over again to take new measurements.
I asked a pal. A regular interior designer would be charging €100 a day for a call out consultation.
This is getting ridiculous.

If not more... most in the US charge about $100/hour

Best of luck, it can be tough.
Are you doing this sort of thing full time or just in your spare time?

It's peaks and valleys. Someways I have nothing to do then it seems that three people want three things at once.
Sid a business start up course the other day but the amount of paperwork and endless tax stuff was nauseating.
I need to set up officially to get start up grants(I need a van and workshop and within a year hopefully staff)
I'm weighing it all up right now.
Nothing worthwhile is easy and all that :)

 It's a lot.
Charge these people anytime you need to remeasure though. That's time you could be making money off someone else :)

I've been working hard team. Mark's jumper is almost done and it's kind of pretty.

I like it. Many small diamonds are better than a few big ones.

Though it would be funny if youd snuck a lightning bolt somewhere along the top row:)
