This band are awesome.
Whole album is streaming on Rollingstone.com

It's a brilliant big slab of rock. Almost zeppelin in places

Re: The Wild Feathers
They performed a cover of Hard Sun about a month or so ago in the Sirius XM studios. Wasn't a great cover, but the rest of the set was pretty good. Have been wanting to check out more of their stuff. Thanks for the link.

Re: The Wild Feathers
Despite the London Fog-style smoke hovering at all times and the super small and kind of stuffy space, I love the 5 Spot. Seriously, I do. It's some sort of hidden gem of musical amazingness and I have yet to go here and leave having not enjoyed myself immensely. The first time I went was when a friend asked me if I wanted to hear this awesome new band called the Alabama Shakes. I don't regret that next long day of work at all.
I have seen so many fantastic acts since that remind me of everything that is amazing and fun about living in Nashville. From a guy quite literally standing on while playing his upright bass to a drummer practically dancing into the audience while playing, the 5 Spot has provided me with the opportunity to see some of the most fun musical acts I would have never heard of otherwise. And they have so many other special events, like 80s dance parties. Seriously, can more places do that?
The bartenders do a great job trying to stay on top of the orders of demanding patrons, so be patient. It's always inexpensive to go (like the time it was a $10 cover but I got the bands new record as part of my admission) and always a good time. Be prepared to sweat and reek of smoke and not care because you're having a blast.
8.75/10

i'll tell you this much: there will be no dearth of vaguely twangy indie rock bands making hay in the scene
