Porno would probably be the best song on this album were it not for the terrible title and overused "little boys with their porno" refrain.

The song has a great melody and vocal delivery.

When I listen to Neon Bible and especially Funeral. There is not a song on this record that come close to 7 Kettles (neighborhood # 4) or My Body is a Cage from Neon Bible. It's just a bad record. Hey it happens to the best of them. I just wait and see what direction they take.

I've always found "My Body Is a Cage" to be a bit overwrought and unnecessary, especially after "No Cars Go". I like the song but it's just a bit too much for me sometimes.

"Afterlife" is chock full of emotion. Actually, the whole album has serious grower potential. I haven't listened to it much over the last week or so (other stuff going on, not listening to much of anything) but I came back to it today and found it even more intriguing. Give it time - there is a hell of a lot going on.

It's not bland.

I've always loved that name. Does this place host huge rodeo events or something?

I think so. Plus, it kind of looks like a saddle.

YeHAW!

Man I wish they weren't playing that building. :( Too bad they couldn't do multiple nights at the Jubilee Auditorium or something like that instead.

The first time I saw them play here was a tiny bar venue and it was amazing. Now the arena. :(

So that song in the promo spot on youtube I've been hearing, where Win sings,

"You gotta get right, before you die!. YOu gotta get right!"

That's not on the album. It's very blusey. It sounded like a great song. Has anyone heard anything about this song?

Huge outdoor show at the end(ish) of summer in front of an adoring hometown crowd sounds pretty amazing to me. I'm a happy camper. I wouldn't be surprised if it sells out, either. I think they cap attendance at Jean Drapeau at about 35,000.

James Murphy helped them make an emotionless bland techno rock album which is the most disappointing album of the year

Side 1 has a a few ok tracks but side 2 is boring and pointless.
I'm going to agree with this. Major disappointment.

I spent a few days with it and really nothing memorable about it. Nothing there to make me want to try harder with it. I'm not blaming James Murphy entirely but he definitely has a hand in what's Wrong with it.
