my ipad won't recognize embedded youtube videos

In all seriousness, I'm not sure there's a fix, but I've put it on my list to have a look.

They don't show up on my iPhone either.

Nope. I mostly use the forum on my iPad as I don't have a laptop at the moment and it's really pissing me off. I even tried d/loading a new browser but nope.

This is probably the cause. But there is possibly a way around it, but I'll need to fish out my old iPhone to do some testing.

In the meantime, can someone that is having the problem just run this check/test and let me know here?

1) Go to Settings > General > Restrictions.

2) Confirm that YouTube is set to On, if not set it to On and then try viewing an embedded YouTube video again.

It works on Android in the Chrome browser. Well, when I say 'works' it doesn't play embedded, it links through to the Youtube player when you tap on it. Either way, it still lets you play it. I'm not 100% sure, but I think iOS is meant to do the same since the Youtube app was updated a while ago.

Every now and then, they show up on my iPhone. If you quote the post and then go back, they'll sometimes show up too.
