I really have to question Andy Reid not going for it on two occasions. The worst one was when they had it on the Denver 1--even if you don't get it you back the Broncos up very deep. The other one was when they had 4th and about 4 in no-man's land when they were down by 14.
i didnt watch any of the game, but i had the stat tracker up on the computer and when it popped up that the cheifs kicker hit a 19 yard field goal i kinda scratched my head

Another matchup of NFC East teams with losing records gets stuck on SNF. I get that the Giants and Redskins aren't out of it yet, but the best football game of the week available would have been ARI/PHI--and you still get your NFC East exposure!

I wouldn't mind seeing Steve Smith and Aqib Talib get into some full blown fisticuffs that results in dual ejections. Both of them strike me as pretty big douchebags.

It sounded like Brady yelled "That was fucking bullshit" to the ref while they walked off the field.

If Tom Brady was black, the amount of shit he would be taking this morning would be unbelievable.

If it were any other team but the Patriots, the national media wouldn't be making anything of it. Especially Peter King.

Anytime Brady complains to a ref they should pat him on the head and say Tuck rule asshole.

Cosign, but even though he's a dick on the field, I really like Steve Smith's game and passion. Talib.....He's on that list of people I just don't care for like Urban Meyer.

I think that's the last time he smiled well, after he signed his contract for 100 million anyway.... the kiss of death from Arthur Blank.

I think your remarks about "if Brady was black" are flat out crazy, BUT....

On a more serious note, Pats fans this morning should be more upset about the consistently crappy secondary, rather than a blown call.

Should have been defensive holding, which would have been a 5 yard penalty.

If I was a Pats fan I would be more upset with the decision to pass on that 3rd and 1 on the previous drive.

i think the problem was that gronk didnt even make an attempt to come back for the ball he just stood there with his manny face on. he kept running his route to the back of the endzone instead of trying to make a play. i know they are saying he was held but there was absolutely 0% of a fuck given to get back to the ball

if he even tried to dive for the ball i think the call stands instead of the flag picked up

Yeah, I didn't see the replay of the play until this morning, but his complete lack of effort was the first thing that struck me too.

The NFL typically review these things a few day(s) later and then state whether the right call was made. They do this when grading the refs. Truth will come out. Outcome will remain the same. Move on.

The defensive holding call would have eliminated any of the confusion of PI and whether it was catchable or not.

But this would have required that Kuechly was holding before the pass was thrown. Not sure if he was or not, but if he wasn't then you couldn't call defensive holding on that spot.

And as an aside, if the officials working the Broncos/Chiefs game were instead assigned to this game, there's no way they pick up that flag. They were calling every imaginable defensive holding penalty (while completely missing a blatant pushoff by Bowe to get his TD).
