I'm skeptical of courses that aren't in the woods. I'd not survive the southwest.

We're keeping our eyes peeled for snakes and scorpions this trip. Lol
Are you guys going to the pj show tomorrow?
Yup! Seats so we have time to play a couple course before the show.

Flagstaff had woods. I'll post more photos tonight if I have time.

Overall, i think Colorado beats all states in the SW.

This are photos from Thorpe Park in Flagstaff. I guess I didn't take many photos of Thorpe.

This kind of vandalism really pisses me off :gomez: Couldn't see any of the information on the tee.

These are photos from Northern Arizona University.

Then we drove down to about 2000-3000 feet to Cottonwood, AZ - Different kind of terrain altogether. It wasn't warm enough for snakes.

Yesterday we played Papago Park - it was pretty challenging. Sucked because the drives criss cross each other and there were a handful of groups behind us. Had to dodge discs from other holes. :shake: Fishy played the course across from our hotel (Vista Del Camino) and wasn't impressed having to back track every time to the next tee. Then he played Marana Rock (near Tuscon) this afternoon while I met up with a friend to have a margarita. He wasn't thrilled with Marana Rock. Something something fucking 800+ feet to the pin...

Man, this disc golf looks like pretty serious stuff. I've got to find out if there are any courses in Australia, maybe I'll be better (i.e. less shit) at that than I am at regular golf.

Get out there and throw, Sarge! No courses today. Fishy is burned out on disc golf already, so we went to the Botanical Gardens this morning instead.

Played 63 holes today on 3 different courses.

Hit Cliff Stevens park just as Paul McBeth was finishing up a round. He was pretty cool to talk to for a few minutes and he signed my buddy's kids Roc3 for him...then drove away in so bad ass Dodge Challenger.

Great way to spend a day off!

That's pretty dam sweet :D
Probably a silly question, but is there a certain kind of dye that you have to use to dye a disc? Probably depend on the type of plastic?

Old style Rid seems to be the dye to use....just from what I've read.

There is a whole section on how to dye, etc. on dgcoursereview.

Man, that disc looks too good to use. I wouldn't want to scratch it up.

A disc ain't a disc until it's scratched.

Very true, i was angry when i would smack a tree with a new disc but it really feels better in my hand after it gets some nicks and scratches on it

The guy that does these dyes is my favorite guy. I traded this disc in Albuquerque, so I'
