Hmm I hadn't thought of that before, but good point.

This is a great song, Jeff was in such a songwriting groove for binaural and riot act.

Love it, this one is my favorite tune from the 2002-album , the studio version is simple amazing, heaviest as f*ck

not sure what the boom is doing on "live at the showbox" of the version of song , seriously :|

I love the studio version, but they've never seem to be able to capture it live. Then again, I think 90% of all PJ is better in the studio.

They don´t know how to play it live, but some of the 2003 are ok. Alpine 2011 was very good too.

I don't think they played this at Alpine in 2011 (at least I have no recollection of them doing so).

I remember the Philly 09 version being good, but I might be mistaken.

The reviving of this thread got me to listen to Riot Act for the first time in probably years on the way to work this morning. Fuck, I forgot how much I do enjoy that album. Ghost was just kicking in as I parked, so it'll have to wait for the Friday afternoon drive home.

Is there an alternative mix out there without the backing vocals?

It might be the song I've had the most change of heart on in their catalog. I thought it was terrible for years. I've finally come around to it. Its a good tune. Great guitar work in this one.

I don't dislike it, but for me Ghost and to a slightly lesser extent Cropduster, have always been very forgettable songs. I can listen to it and kind of like it, but if i haven't heard it for an extended period of time i can't for the life of me remember how it goes.

3.5 sandwiches for me.

I really like this track and it works really well after Cropduster. Probably 3.6-3.7 so I gave it 4 bones.

I don't think this is an indication of a songs merit. Although, if it is, it could very well be an indication that it is a good song.

Mike's guitar sounds good on this song, but the verses are so fucking boring.

i like ghost quite a bit, but I wonder if I'd like it less if it were on a stronger albums.

Probably not. I mostly listen to pearl jam on shuffle anyway
