Also, the bitrates for satellite radio are like 48 or 64kbit/sec. I don't know exactly but it's low. The internet streams are better, but it's radio. Looking forward to hearing what we get out of the official FLACs tomorrow, and will be enjoying audience FLACs until then.

The Internet radio feed didn't seem that bad, you can really hear 128 or less. These are at least that.

One thing that the satellite radio doesn't affect are the abrupt mix changes. You could really hear the shift pretty distinctly at least 8 or 10 times, sometimes as a song was starting, sometimes as a chorus kicked in, etc...

The big thing I'm noticing is how dry the mixing on Ed's voice is. Its kinda bizarre. I noticed it at the shows too (his voice is very in your face and out ahead of the band), more so than on previous tours. It sounds weird on a recording like this, where there is so much room noise, to have the voice be so dry

I feel like there's just something all around off with it, but I can't place it. Maybe the FLACs will sound better.

yeah ed is way too loud, which doesn't make much sense considering his current vocal condition.

Is anyone going to buy the FLAC today? I think I'm holding off for Worcester 1 before I drop any bucks.

If anyone does, compare and contrast to the samples i posted above and some of the comments, please.

So they now are offering for pre-order the "box set" of all the 2013 North American bootlegs minus London ON, and Chicago.

I get that maybe they are doing something special with Wrigley, but why not release the London show?

I bet they release those two together in a box.

They're letting us know about a box set in advance !!!??? Holy shit! I usually buy them individually first.

Here's to hoping for a Black Friday discount code to apply for the box set. It's not limited edition so I think I can safely wait.

2013 PEARL JAM LIGHTNING BOLT NORTH AMERICAN TOUR BOOTLEG CD BOX SET PRESALE

INCLUDES THE 2013 US TOUR FROM PITTSBURGH 10/11 TO SEATTLE 12/6 IN A SWELL CUSTOM BOX. 25 SHOWS.

DOES NOT INCLUDE 2013 SOUTH AMERICAN TOUR, LONDON, ON or WRIGLEY FIELD SHOWS.

DETAILS, DELIVERY AND RELEASE DATE ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE. CARDS WILL BE CHARGED AT TIME OF PURCHASE.
THIS PRESALE ITEM WILL NOT SHIP UNTIL TOUR HAS ENDED AND ALL SHOWS HAVE BEEN RELEASED.
Seriously, they would sell a lot more of these if they shipped each show separately as they were released (or even 4 once a month) rather than people having to wait until they're all released to get any at all (which will be 6 months at this one-a-week rate).

I'm listening now, it sounds excellent. I haven't listened to the radio-sourced samples but the mix is perfect here.

I'm only on the first few songs but Ed sounds fantastic so far.

Seriously though, I don't know if it studio mastery but this is the best Ed has sounded since 2007/2008.

Even though Vedder screws up, I can't tell you pleased I am to hear Unemployable played in its recorded key again. I really, really hope they try it again at some point.

Invites are currently closed on waffles, and also, the show isn't even there yet.
