This album was rather bleh but I'm really enjoying this song at the moment - the whole track is one long meditative build-up to a tastefully restrained release

Phosphorescent sound great - vocals remind me of Shawn Smith with a dash of Wayne Coyne.

I'd invite you along, Heathen. Kreng, have you posted anything in this thread, yet? What else have you been digging?Heathen wrote:him only, huh? I seekreng wrote:i'd hang out with Brett
"Song for Zula" was pretty interesting; I like the arrangements. Didn't care for the other Phosphorescent song, though. I also enjoyed that Disclosure song psychobain posted. It reminds me of mid-late '90s video game music, like Sonic R or something. I'm not big into a lot of metal, but there were definitely aspects of the Seidr song that I liked; it just happened to go longer than I thought necessary. And as much of a Tortoise fan as I am, SNC reminded me that I have yet to really check out Brokeback. The song he posted was a solid one, though, and maybe someday I'll get 'round to giving them some attention.

He usually just likes what I tell him to, unless he's in one of his insufferable Patton phases.Brett wrote:I'd invite you along, Heathen. Kreng, have you posted anything in this thread, yet? What else have you been digging?Heathen wrote:him only, huh? I seekreng wrote:i'd hang out with Brett

The Saints - Mini Mantra part 1
Pretty damn good stuff for a band that was around when punk was invented and whose singer is 54 and sounding better than ever.
Technically released in Sept '12 but whatever.
