How is it? I've been interested in checking that one out.
i only watched the first episode. pretty good.

I watched the first one and I dunno... it felt like shock-gore for the sake of shock and gore. It wasn't particularly clever or unique.
I watched first two episodes and won't watch any more.

Finally finished watching Alias. Not sure what's next. Maybe something HBO like The Wire or Sopranos.

I'm not sure I could do the new Friends Blu Ray set. I'm too used to the extended versions.

Ten episodes from the finale of Sopranos. Very bittersweet show.

it gets really toxic towards the end and just sort of stops.

What was the one with the staff Sargent who shouted all the time? that was better.

I very much am, didn't you see me defending The Jerk in that other thread? This show is just horrifically unfunny.
I found this youtube clip and it made me so depressed:

Goddamn, the writers are a bunch of hacks. Comedy for people who hate comedy.

Yeah but The Jerk is actually funny.

But I agree. A major problem is the laugh track. I notice that television comedy is veering away from the laugh track and gearing towards shows like The Office and Parks and Rec. We discussed this in the old forum. Arrested Development was the prime example, and that show is fricken hilarious. It's the kind of comedy that you laugh at because it's the same comedy (sarcasm & improv) acted out with your friends at a bar, and it's not forced down your throat. It's basically Woody Allen humor.

But I have to say, Tim Allen is a comedic genious. I watched a few Home Improvement episodes the other day, and the guy has great timing and character.

My wife never watched Frasier, and has started to enjoy it, so we're starting from the beginning on Netflix.
