I'd be quite pleased if they cancelled the whole thing, I'm sure we'd get a Pearl Jam tour at some stage, but I don't hold out much hope. I think it's more likely they'll try to push ahead, possibly with a longer Pearl Jam set, as it'll end up costing too much to cancel the whole thing and refund everyone who already bought tickets.

I honestly have no idea, though.

That's what it will come down to - is it cheaper to push on and suffer a loss, or deal with the costs of cancelling now.

I just hope they make a decision before Arcade Fire sideshow tickets sell out :)

They're facing monumental losses regardless of what happens now. The BDO brand will basically evaporate over the next three years. :(

They should just announce that PJ will play a full 3 hour set from 8pm. Would bring in a few people who are holding off going I reckon.

Maybe.

Tom and Alex were talking to a 'music news' guy (I didn't catch his name) on Triple J this morning. He was talking about the options BDO have, whether they have a replacement act, or PJ may play a 3+ hour set as they have been lately on tour. He followed that last one up with "it's a real possibility". I'm starting to think that guy's a regular on here...

AJ set to reveal 3 international bands to replace Blur this afternoon (1 UK, 2 US).

My money's on the Black Keys and Beady Eye. Sleater-Kinney are one of the other rumours...

I'd heard Smashing Pumpkins were a good beat....

And - I stand corrected
"Bands that won't be on the list include the Smashing Pumpkins, Massive Attack, The Black Keys, AC/DC, Pulp and Guns N' Roses."

Beady Eye and Sleater Kinney are good bets. Someone like Gomez or Turin Brakes too.

S-K were already ruled out by AJ on Twitter sometime in the last few days.

My tickets arrived today, all holographic and whatnot.

Beady Eye, I mean, seriously. That's a pretty terrible replacement (if true).

Yeah - I'd be pretty gutted if this turns out to be accurate
