Damnit Trindon, you could have called a fair catch and given Prater a chance at a fair catch kick with the wind. And you let DRC get hurt on that Hail Mary play.

I'm referencing the Broncos/Chargers game from last year as a reverse jinx insurance right now.

I'm afraid this could be one of these scenarios where he's trying to demonstrate how much of a mastermind he is. We'll see.spike wrote:belichick... took the wind?

Also, does anyone doubt that BB would have elected to take the fair catch free kick in the GB-MIN game?

belichick manipulated welker into signaling late on that punt; he still has a hold on him.HardTI wrote:Simple Torture wrote:I'm afraid this could be one of these scenarios where he's trying to demonstrate how much of a mastermind he is. We'll see.spike wrote:belichick... took the wind?

Boy, am I glad that game didn't take place in the playoffs. That would have been rough to take two years in a row.

Not ashamed to say that I watched an episode of King Of The Hill and the end of SNL when the score became 24-0. I knew it would be different when I came back. Still kind of in shock over how it turned out.

Re: 2013 NFL Season
I made the case earlier here that a cold weather Super Bowl in NYC will affect the outcome. Last night was further evidence of this distinct possibility:
http://sports.yahoo.com/news/nfl--did-c ... 33449.html
Manning is now 3-8 lifetime in games where the temperature was below 32 degrees at kickoff, according to Mike Reiss of ESPNBoston.com. In those games he now has 13 touchdowns and 14 interceptions, nothing close to his better than 2 to 1 TDs-to-interceptions (472 to 216) career ratio.

If it wasn't for bonehead plays from Rahim Moore and Tony Carter, that could have been 5-6. Also, most of those games would have to be road games.Coach wrote:I made the case earlier here that a cold weather Super Bowl in NYC will affect the outcome. True, but Manning doesn't seem to have the same zip on the ball during the cold weather like Brady does.Green Habit wrote:If it wasn't for bonehead plays from Rahim Moore and Tony Carter, that could have been 5-6. Manning made a few great throws, but the majority of his passes were short ones. Meanwhile, Brady seemed to get better with his throws as the weather got worse. Seems consistent with the rivalry over the years and if I were a Denver fan, I'd be wishing for warm weather in January!

Every time I'm watching a game like that, when whatever team I want to win has a big lead, I think, "I should really go do something else." Because blowouts aren't super fun to watch even if it's your team winning and the alternative is ... really no fun.
But I almost never actually do go do anything else. Unfortunately.

You're really blaming Carter on that play? I thought it was all Welker's fault. Either should have caught it or waived it off sooner.Green Habit wrote:If it wasn't for bonehead plays from Rahim Moore and Tony Carter, that could have been 5-6.
