Subjective, but Vs has some good songs, No Code is a masterpiece.

Stone had a lot to say in making Ten/Vs, even if Vs had the band collaborating a lot more. For Vitalogy all reports say that Ed was going through a difficult phase, and wrote a lot on his own. For No Code, Irons changed the feel of the band, but it was still Eddie driving through creatively. For Yield /Binaural, possibly in order to survive, they changed the process into more if a team work. Of course band members have come in with tunes and ideas for all the records, so these are broad strokes.

Eddie comes off like some big brother in a college fraternity hazing a plebe in the video clips with Ricky. Ladies and gentleman, anyone that has followed the band going back to 1994 have always known that Eddie can be a major asshole from time to time.

Ed is just a dickbag. He has been for years - maybe always - though if that's the case, he masked it well for a couple of years. I've been to multiple shows where he's had sand in his vag about something, and the irony is that no one fucks up more often than he does. He is the least professional musician I have paid more than $10 to see. I don't think being friends with Sean Penn helped at all.

If he fired that guy, fuck Ed. If the guy quit, good for that guy. When did it become acceptable to treat another human being like that?

Anyway, last night I read about the guy from Lostprophets, and it kinda put Eddie's tantrums into perspective.

The difference is (not the *only* difference, clearly), Pearl Jam was a good band.

I think lots of people on the Pit are terrified if try post their true feelings they will be punished by the 10c and its why things seem to be very hero-worshipy there, they follow trends. If things trend negative about Ed they will feel there is safety in numbers and vent a little more than they otherwise would.

I don't read it regularly but checked to see if it confirmed what i remembered about it. They are hero-worshipy but the heroes being Stone and Jeff 1st than Mike and Matt,the 10C, the touring crew and than Ed.
