I tried ages ago to watch the first series from a mediocre rip and couldn't get into it; watching it on Blu-Ray really made a substantial difference, it's such a visually engaging show.

Was up to 6am last night watching season 6. With the exception of a couple of clunky episodes (the MLK episode was one) its pretty great. Will probably finish tonight.

I attempted to watch this show when the first season was on, but only got through a few eps before quitting on it. I finally revisited it last month, and binge watched the whole series. So good, can't believe I'd passed on it for so long. Looking forward to this one returning on Sunday.

You're right, the long game is so much more rewarding with this show.I was really surprised by how much I enjoyed Season 6, especially towards the end of it. There'd been dodgy episodes in Seasons 4 & 5 that made me think the show was really running out of steam.
