Section 101 is side stage, should be pretty good seats.

I've only been a couple of times, but it has got the feel of a western mountain town in the U.S. but with more of the "global culture" feel of most bigger Canadian cities. Love it.EJ wrote:Why's that, E.H.?E.H. Ruddock wrote:I would live in Calgary if I could. I love that city so much.

Notes from last night:
The poster had some alt versions of it:

I'm told there were 2 other variants of it randomly inserted into the pile.
Ed was surprised at the attendance due to the blizzard outside, expecting about 5000 people. At least 15000 showed.
He was also impressed at how the 'Dome looked, acknowledging the floods here in June. He's got some friends that had moved here before the floods so he was up to speed on how the whole thing went down.
Ed also talked to this kid in the crowd, who's dad is a local sports guy on tv. He used a couple of cuss words when describing how good the kid was before catching himself. Pretty funny shit. He said that in 20 yrs, PJ would open for the kid's band.
Ed brought out 2 bottles of wine, one regular size and one that was about 3 times larger, saying that everytime he took a swig of the big one, it was essentially one glass of wine. He shared the other wine with the front rowers often.
As the setlist shows, pretty typical night songwise but the 3 slow starters were a nice treat. Didn't know the name of the Lou Reed song Ed played after the first set but it was ok.
I was wishing Ed had gotten Boom's thoughts on this weather.
There was an massive art piece hanging above the stage, shaped like a bird. I assume it's been on this whole tour with them but no one in the band said anything about it.
Great show. The giant bulbs that came down during the set were fun, as the guys were swinging them over the crowd and one Ed used as a swing for himself.
A few shots I took.
