Anyway, this Calgary show looks great. I hope everyone who was there had a great time and makes it home safely - this weather ain't no joke!

I love this kind of stuff. Obviously, this isn't a fully realized song, but it seems like these kind of improvs are where the real creative juices lie. I wish the band would do a lot more of these kind of experiments. It seems that there is gold in them thar hills.

I wonder if Ed even made an attempt to remember the words to fucking up. In hartford, he was just singing random words he could remember to the song.

I love that whole tour. There's a reason I'm slowly collecting all of the official bootlegs. I'm up to about 36 - one day I shall own them all!
About 10 years ago, my local Best Buy had piles of them on clearance for several weeks. By the end of that, I had almost the whole tour, and I didn't have to pay full price. I would imagine it is a much bigger pain in the ass these days.
Over the summer I found a guy on eBay who was selling a bunch of sealed ones for about $20 each. I contacted him privately and was able to work out a bulk deal that ended up being about $8 per show plus combined shipping. I don't have dreams of owning them all (despite how great the performances are they still get redundant after a certain point), but I was able to get all the remaining 2000 shows I wanted for a very reasonable price. Lucky find.

There are still maybe 8-10 2003 shows I would love to find, but those seem a lot harder to come by and tend to go for a much higher dollar. If anyone has some they're looking to part ways with shoot me an email and we can talk business.

There are excellent FLAC rips of the 2000 and 2003 shows in the darker corners of the internet. Considering how hard those shows are to find in physical formats, I don't think even the most ardent "Just pay for it!" people would argue against looking for them that way.

I have CDR copies of most of the stuff I'd want, but I enjoy having the actual copies. I'll track them down someday. Mainly I regret not having better instincts when the shows were first released--especially with the 2003 stuff I ended up going for a lot of the shows with flashy setlists that ended up being pretty rickety performances instead of having the patience to discern which shows were the best buys all around. Hey, I was 19.

I have much NA Leg 1 of the 2k set. I used my mom's credit card to order the whole thing when it came out. Boy was her face red when she got the bill.

Then my old roommate's dog ate some of them and I'm sure I simply lost a few.

I have every single one under my bed in mint condition in a case. Back in 2000, I sold a boatload of promo cd's from the virgin megastore I was working for at the time. I then purchased all 72 at 25% with my store discount.

Show last night was kickass. The opening 3 songs were so great. The blizzard made for some great energy in the building. Fun times.
