I am about more then halfway through Pittsburgh. The band sounds better, minus ed's lyrical flubs. I think speed of sound sounded better then any other time they tried to play it.

It fucking kills the song. I hate it so much.
I hate it more then anything they have ever done. It's fucking terrible, please put the verse back in.
They didn't try it in PHX for sure and it's a very good version as well.
I agree, it doesn't work. I feel there already is a "sing along" part with the Halleauh part. (probably misspelled)

Promo code FRAK can be used for 20% off of the box set. That saved me $75. Woohoo!!!

Listened to the first part of buffalo on the drive yesterday, I think it's time to limit the use of DTE on these sets. Ed sounded like he was really struggling and it was only the 5-6th song.

was about 5 people deep from him during that show... fucking horrific how weak he was at songs like DTE, Once, SOLAT... sad.

Keep smoking and talking out your ass Ed... I"ll keep listening to your boots from 91-96 when you fucking cranked.

Agreed, but I'd extend that from 1996 until 2005. While I fell in love with the raw uncontrolled power of Ten-era Ed, I've grown to appreciate the Yield-Binaural Ed as being at the top of his game. Since I've had Pjradio on Sirius I've become much more aware of the change over the years as they jump from and 2000 show to a 2013 show. Makes me sad too.

The frustrating thing is that he can still pull it off some nights. He's just a lot more inconsistent than he used to be. Some nights he has it, some nights he doesn't have almost anything. He's like a great pitcher who's in his decline phase. Some nights he has the fastball, some nights he doesn't.

I would bet too that the later on in the tour, the better he will sound. He NAILED "Deep" in Portland, for example.

I'm listening to the Pittsburgh show in HD right now and I have to say that he really nails it on the softer songs. Pendulum for example, sounds fantastic. It may be time for the band to focus on more of these songs and less Minding their manners.

Listening to Pitt as well. They sound a lot better later on, at least judging from the audience recordings I have heard.

Yea I'm pumped to hear those shows, especially to see if Worcester 1 was as good as I remember it.

Agreed. Both that and Other Side come across really well to these ears. Better than I thought on the night

The official recordings have allowed me to notice some tuning problems. In Worcester 2 both My Fathers Son and Smile have tuning issues. Mikes low E is flat in Smile and in Fathers Son Jeff's bass appears to be tuned to 442 or something. It's quite frustrating

Yeah, my fathers son is a big mess here. It was much better at the debut in Buffalo, but the mix has the organ way too loud during/after the bridge. I think they gave up on it for a while, unless I'm missing something, it didn't show up again for 15 shows until LA 2.

Is Long Road labeled "Long Run" for anyone else on the Worcester 1 official bootleg? :shake:
