nice, last album made me a believer again

Re: The Black Angels - Indigo Meadow (April 2nd)
i like the new album and it has grown on me the more i've listened. highlights for me are 'war on holiday' and 'you're mine'. the former clearly takes some inspiration from floyd's 'lucifer sam', but it certainly could be inspired by worse. these are not the 2006 black angels, and i'd still still take much of the first two records over much of the last two, but i appreciate that they aren't just rehashing their sound. after seeing them again last saturday, i definitely believe they're still a damn good, kick-ass band to see live.
still can't get enough of this song, though

Re: The Black Angels - Indigo Meadow (April 2nd)
This is good but I'm curious why exactly this band is getting so much of the attention of recent times? There's has always been a 'new' fuzzy psych band every year for as long as I remember doing this sort of thing.

Really enjoyed this. Looked into their catalog and I really like Sniper at the Gates of Heaven and Young Men Dead.

Anyone hear this yet? They released a 7-song EP today, Clear Lake Forest. Wasn't able to grab it at the record store, interested in hearing the entire thing...
