I JUST DON'T LIKE IT, OK?!
Not enough meat? or too much? Come on, Rud!
Don't know. I'm just not a big fan of meat in sauces, stews, etc. I like steak, chicken, pork, whatever as the main feature of the dish. If you want to throw a sauce on top, fine.
Since I'm not a carnivore it didn't make sense at first, just thought you were a psycho. Thanks for the clarification :)
That's the clarification of a communist if I've ever seen one . . .

I loooooved the barbacoa I made in the crockpot. I over did it on the chipotle peppers and it was insanely hot...but I love insanely hot. My girlfriend was just angry.

What kind of crocks you guys using?

I'm in the market for a new one. America's Test Kitchen recommends the Crock Pot 6 1/2 qt ss version. I usually trust their recommendations, but I ordered it over the summer and the thing kept turning off after about a 1/2 hr. I assumed it was just a lemon, but after reading comments on amazon, the problem sounds a little more widespread.

I'm thinking of the All Clad stainless steal. It's pricey and you can't set it beyond 6 hours on high, but those are really the only limitations on it from what I've read. Yet, I don't feel like spending $175 for a crock pot that I'll only use maybe once every 2 months.

Thoughts?

I have the all clad but only spent about $75 for it..it can run for 12 hours on any temp and then resorts to warm after that..it gets the RR seal of approval

$75? You sure it's not the Alt Clad (like the Simpsons Sorny or Magnetbox tvs)?

She was angry at not being able to eat. Her anger may have been misdirected so I wouldn't worry.

Chipotle is insanely hot? Huh. Is a jalapeno hot to her?
