Re: TV: Archer
It's a callback-heavy show so I recommend just watching it from the start.
Archer Vice was... weird. Kind of glad it's over.

Got to be too many pop culture references this season. I like the show best when it intertwines over-the-top character interactions with very earnest action sequences.

isn't that what referencing the 80s vice trope is all about?McParadigm wrote:Got to be too many pop culture references this season. I like the show best when it intertwines over-the-top character interactions with very earnest action sequences.

Re: TV: Archer
I loved the new season. I agree about the pop culture references getting to be a bit much, but I found there were as many laugh out loud moments as any other season. Archer is easily one of the most consistently funny shows I've ever seen.

Yeah, I dunno, I don't think I really laughed much. I thought making Pam a hot cocaine addict was also a weird move. And the Cherlene subplot was dumb as hell.

Re: TV: Archer
The dictator and his wife were funny I guess. And the Krieger clones. Anyway, hopefully next season is an improvement.
